Snowdrops

Last year I was feeling a bit uninspired with my art practise, I knew I wanted to make art but I didn't know what to draw, or even what I wanted it to look like. So recently I've been taking it back to basics - using my sketchbook more and just drawing the things I see around me.

My sketchbooks have almost become a sort of visual diary which I really like actually.

And then if elements I like start to appear, and I think there's a pattern idea there, I take them further by drawing them digitally after that.

It's meant I feel a bit more connected to my designs, and the world around me.

And what's been around me for the last few weeks is snowdrops! We have a patch of these down the bottom of the garden and they have been the inspiration for my latest pattern.
